Joint Egypt-UAE military training continues

CAIRO: A joint military training between Egypt and UAE entitled “Zayed 1” continued Thursday and is expected to last for two weeks, reported Youm7.

It is the first training between both countries and is hosted by UAE. The training, which started March 2, included lectures and surveying areas.

Air and naval forces began executing different formations to recognize the new methods of combat training.  

Head of the Egyptian Armed Forces in the training, Ismail el-Badawi, thanked the UAE for welcoming the forces and hosting the joint maneuver.

He added that Egyptian Armed Forces aim to deepen military ties and mutual cooperation between both countries by planning training to exchange experiences and enhance leaders and officers’ talents.
