CAIRO: The Egyptian Metro Company said it finalized preparations for the beginning of the second semester, Abdulllah Fawzy, the head of the company, said Thursday.
Fawzy told Youm7 that security forces had intensified their presence around metro stations to counter any attempts to break the law.
Several vacant trains will be operating during peak hours, especially in stations that link lines together, Fawzy said.
Fawzy added that individuals who violate the law and instructions would pay an average fine of 15 EGP ($2) per violation.
