CAIRO: Over the course of last week’s trading sessions, the Egyptian investors acquired 88.87 percent of Egyptian Stock Exchange transactions, 6.61 percent were done by Arab investors and 4.52 percent by foreign investors, after excluding deals.
The foreign investors’ net purchases edged down to 81.44 million EGP ($11.6 million) during last week, while Arab investors’ net purchases were valued at 95.31 million EGP ($13.6 million) during the same period.
Over the course of current year’s sessions, the net purchases by foreign investors upped to 294.97 million EGP, while Arab investors’ net purchases over the same period were valued 155.75 million EGP.
Excluding deals, institutions acquired 66.51 percent of last week’s transactions while the remainder was acquired by individuals.
