CAIRO: Misr University for Science and Technology is scheduled to hold an event celebrating International Women’s Day on Saturday with delegations from Italy, Germany, China, and France set to participate.
Paolo Sabbatini, the head of Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo, will talk about Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and her role as a woman who became an art icon with her mysterious smile. Also from Italy, Liana Tersini, the former Italian TV Middle East correspondent, is scheduled to give a speech.
Federica Venier, a professor in Bergamo University, is scheduled to talk about the role of women in Egyptian literature.
A number of Egyptian university professors will also give talks during the celebration.
