TRIPOLI: The stability will prevail in Egypt after electing a new president, who will take the country to safety, Libya’s Oil Minister told MENA on Saturday.

Omar al-Shakmak praised the Egyptians for their patriotism, asserting that achieving the goals of the country’s revolution depends on electing the new president.

Shakmak said the restoration of stability and Egypt’s leading role among the Arab nation would serve the Libyan interests.

The Libyan minister hailed efforts of the Egyptian military institution, which protected the country from stumbling into chaos.

He stressed that Egyptians enjoyed a long history in overcoming their ordeals and distresses.
