CAIRO: Cairo Criminal Court will hold the oral proceedings of former President Hosni Mubarak’s retrial over 28 hearings from March 22 to May 5, according to a Saturday statement by the court.
On May 6, the court will hear the plea of the defense lawyers of all defendants involved in the case of killing peaceful protesters and profiteering.
The court said it would allow the Egyptian state TV to broadcast the hearings and permit journalists to attend.
The lawyers of the defendants were allowed to view all documents submitted to the judges relevant to the case, the statement said.
The case involves Mubarak, his two sons Gamal and Alaa, former Minister of Interior Habib al-Adly and six of his aides.
