RED SEA, Egypt: A tourist bus overturned on its way from Cairo to Hurghada because of bad weather, killing eight and injuring 29, according to the Ministry of Health.
Ras Ghareb Ambulance Center received notification about the accident 25 kilometers south of Hurghada of the El-High Jet tourist company bus, said Director of Red Sea Ambulance Authority Hosam Gamil said in a press statement early Sunday.
When Civil Protection Forces arrived, Gamil said, they had difficulty extracting people from the wreckage and clearing the road because the severity of the weather.
The Ministry of Health announced that victims of the bus accident were transferred to Ghareb Central Hospital. Three injured people were transferred to Hurghada Hospital, and one was transferred to el-Gouna Hospital.
