CAIRO:  South Giza prosecution summoned on Sunday Transportation Minister Ibrahim el-Demeiry for inquiries about Dahshour train accident that left 27 killed in November.

At least 27 people were killed and 36 others injured as a train crashed into a minibus and other vehicles south of Egypt’s capital Cairo.

The freight train, travelling from the city of Beni Suef, hit the vehicles at a level-crossing about 40km from Cairo near the village of Dahshour.

Many of those killed on the bus were members of an extended family returning from a wedding.
