MARRAKESH, Morocco: New heads of offices of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council have been sworn in before assuming their responsibilities.

The new directors of the Arab bureau for civil defense, intellectual security, and narcotics were sworn in before the member states during the 31st session of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council.

Earlier, the 31st session of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council kicked off in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh.

The two-day event focuses on efforts to combat terrorism, as well as an Arab strategy for civil defense and intellectual security.

The ministers will also discuss ways of supporting the Palestinian Ministry of Interior.
