CAIRO: Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab held a meeting on Sunday with the council of governors.

During the meeting, Mahlab asked the governors to directly communicate with citizens, meet their needs and provide basic commodities and services for them.

“The coming period is so critical,” Mahlab said.

Talking about the parliamentary and presidential elections, Mahlab said the role of governorates is confined only to providing full logistical support for the Higher Electoral Committee.

Mahlab also called upon the governors to firmly face “terrorism” and secure citizens.
