Egypt keen on boosting trade ties with Sudan: minister

KHARTOUM, Sudan: Industry, Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour began a two-day visit to Sudan on Monday.

Upon his arrival at Khartoum airport on Monday, Abdel Nour said at a press conference that the visit came as part of the Egyptian government’s keenness on boosting bilateral relations between the two Nile peoples in trade, industry and investment fields.

The minister said he would discuss with Sudanese government officials ways to promote the horizons of cooperation during the coming period and work on removing all hindrances facing the inter-trade movement.

For his part, the Sudanese Minister of Industry Al-Samih Al-Sadiq Al-Noor said that the government was interested in the Egyptian-Sudanese relations.

He added that he would hold talks with the Egyptian side to solve problems facing Egyptian and Sudanese investors.
