CAIRO: Muslim Brotherhood defectors are to submit a proposal for restructuring the group to the presidential media adviser Ahmed el-Moslemany.
The Youth Coalition for Egypt, which consists of Brotherhood defectors, has drafted a project entitled Fakkar wa ragea, Think and Revise, Emad Emara, coordinator of the coalition, told Youm7 on Sunday.
Emara said the project aims at assimilating Brotherhood youth into society through a process of intellectual discourse, and not through security solutions, adding that they will ask for presidential support on this initiative.
Emara said they will ask the presidency to recognize the coalition instead of the Freedom and Justice Party, the political arm of the Brotherhood.
Emara said the new party would be the only sanctuary for youth who leave the Brotherhood. He added that political work will be separate from religious preaching.
He said that the presidency has invited representatives of the coalition to the meeting; among those invited are 20 members who have defected from the Brotherhood.
