CAIRO: Muslim Brotherhood supporters clashed with security forces in violent skirmishes after Friday prayer across the country, leaving 6 injured between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. according to the Ministry of Health.
On the Ring Road near Haram, alleged Brotherhood supporters set fire to a security vehicle, injuring a police officer and a soldier. The injured were transferred to Haram Hospital and one of the attackers escaped.
In Gharbia, two soldiers were injured in gunfire exchange with Brotherhood protesters. Security forces apprehended the attackers ad confiscated two machine guns.
In Beheira, clashes broke out after demonstrators shouted support for the Brotherhood and Rabaa al-Adaweya. Pro- and anti-Brotherhood locals threw stones at one another in the ensuing dispute.
