CAIRO: Chelsea trashed their opponent Arsenal 6-0 in a Saturday game at Stamford Bridge in the 31st round of the English Premier League, during which Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah scored his first goal for Chelsea.
The Blues hosted the Gunners in a game that would assure that they could continue in the race for the EPL title, as Manchester City has two games in hand, while Arsenal has one game in hand.
However, the Blues did not wait for too long, as Samuel Eto’o scored the first goal in the 5th minute, after he ripped off an Arsenal defender before firing the ball into the net.
Two minutes later Andre Schürrle succeeded in scoring the second goal, before the referee sent off Kieran Gibbs after he touched the ball with his hand. Eden Hazard scored the third goal from a penalty kick.
In the 42nd minute Oscar scored the fourth goal, before the Brazilian came again on the 66th minute to score the fifth goal.
A minute later, Egyptian player Mohamed Salah took his place in the game as he substituted Oscar, and in the 71st minute he scored his first goal for the Blues.
