RED SEA: 2500 tourists arrived at Hurghada International Airport on Friday, said Gen. Sami Abdel Moneem, after a number of European countries lifted their travel bans on Egypt.

Moneem said that “27 international flights from different countries and another nine internal flights arrived” at the airport.

The Red Sea governorate celebrated the International Day of Tourism on Friday by organizing a series of internationally focused events with the participation of Governor Ahmed Abd Allah.

The lifting of several travel warnings against Egypt comes after Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou’s visit to number of European countries including Germany and Sweden.
