CAIRO: President Adly Mansour arrived in Kuwait Monday along with the accompanying delegation to participate in the 25th Arab League Summit hosted by Kuwait.

He was received at Kuwait Airport by Sheikh Sabah IV Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, ruler of Kuwait and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, among other Kuwaiti officials, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA.)

The presidency spokesperson, Ambassador Ehab Badawy, said Monday in Kuwait during a press statement that Mansour decided to participate on presidential basis because he believes that Egypt is to regain its leading role in the Arab world and to bear the responsibility given to it, Youm7 reported.

“Egypt will remain the heart of the Arab world,” Badawy said, adding that the Arab world is going through a critical situation regarding the Arab Spring, fighting terrorism and threats regarding its welfare, national security and unity of its lands.
