Sisi calls for developing the research work to develop the military institution

CAIRO: Minister of Defense Abdel-Fatah Al-Sisi met with a number of researchers and members of Military Technical College in addition to the workers in the technical researches Tuesday to discuss improving the military institution, Military Spokesperson Ahmed Ali said on his page on Facebook.

General Abdel-Mohsen Al-Shabrawy, Chairperson of the Armament Authority, said in his speech that he delivered before the attendants that the military institution is keen to develop the armament system and to provide the suitable atmosphere to improve the research work.

According to the statement, the college presented a documentary film to discuss the importance of scientific research in the military institution and research projects currently executed in different fields.

The statement added that Marshal Sisi praised the efforts exerted by the researchers and scientists of the military institution in different scientific fields to develop the military abilities. He called them for exchanging experiences and ideas, stressing the need for coordinating their efforts to consider the challenges and to find the suitable solutions for them.

The meeting was attended by General Sedky Sobhy, Military Chief of Staff, and a number of military leaders and directors of the Military Technical College.

Sisi decided to form a rapid deployment force Tuesday for the ability to execute different tasks efficiently.

“The force was formed to confront terrorism and other challenges that threaten Egypt during the transitional political phase,” Sisi said, according to Al-Ahram. He said Egypt will resume on its path to build a modern and democratic state to meet the aspirations of the Egyptians towards a better future.
