Possible explosion at gas pipeline in North Sinai

CAIRO: Security officials were notified late Tuesday of an explosion at a pipeline that transports gas in North Sinai, Youm7 reported.

Security forces were conducting investigations late Tuesday to verify reports of the explosion, according to Youm7.

The Ministry of Petroleum announced on March 8 that it was demanding intensified security measures in areas surrounding gas pipelines due to increasing attacks.
