BREAKING: Police tear-gas student protest in Heliopolis
By THE CAIRO POST

CAIRO: Security forces shot tear gas at protesting students at Khalifa Ma’moun St., Heliopolis, after telling them they had five minutes to end their demonstration, open the road, and express their opinion peacefully, Youm7 reported on Thursday.

Less than an hour ago, student protests left Al-Azhar University to join other students at Ain Shams University, cutting off Khalifa Ma’moun St. and blocking the area around the university.

Central Security Forces are currently trying to secure the street, using barbed-wire fences to prevent students from obstructing the road.
