Press Syndicator barred from hospital where Mayada Ashraf is held

CAIRO: Journalists around Heliopolis Hospital prevented head of the Press Syndicate Diaa Rashwan from entering the hospital where the body of journalist Mayada Ashraf is being held.

Rashwan responded by notifying the Minister of Justice, and calling for his assistance and investigations into the killing of Ashraf.

Further, Rashwan affirmed that he will attend the investigations with the only eyewitness to Ashraf’s killing, journalist Ahlam Hassanein, according to Youm7

Meanwhile, residents of Ain Shams broke into the hospital after news of a siege around the hospital where the body of one of the residents who was killed in Friday’s clashes is also being held.

Further, journalists around the hospital also prevented Cairo Security Director Osama al-Sagheer from entering the hospital, chanting that it was the security forces who killed their college Mayada Ashraf.
