500 km Gouna Cup Rally begins to boost tourism

RED SEA, Egypt: The Gouna Cup Rally started on Friday in Gouna, North of Hurghada, and will last until Sunday under the supervision of Tourism Authority in the Red Sea.

The rally is organized by the Egyptian Cars Club. Seven Egyptian teams will participate in the rally with 10 cars. The rally is set for 500 kilometers.

The rally also aims at reactivating tourism in the governorate, in addition to preparing Egyptian teams for the World Championship “Pharaohs Rally,” which will start in May in the Red Sea.

Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdallah attended the opening of the Gouna Cup Rally 2014, according to Al-Bawabh news website. The Governor met the competitors and welcomed them in the Red Sea, and wished them good luck in the race.
