CAIRO: High school student Hossam Salama died Thursday of an injury he sustained in clashes between security forces and Cairo University students who support the Muslim Brotherhood on March 26, Youm7 reported.

Salama was hit by birdshot in the head outside Cairo University. His doctors were waiting for his condition to improve before conducting surgery on his brain, the head of the emergency department of Qasr al-Aini Hospital told Youm7.

Students from Saidiya School for boys occasionally join protests outside Cairo University, which is near to their school.
