IDSC: 54.5% drop in train passenger revenue during January

CAIRO: A report prepared by the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) showed a 54.5 percent decrease of railway passengers’ revenues during January.

The IDSC bulletin on Egypt’s economic and social indicators, a copy of which was received by MENA, said that revenues during January reached 35.5 million pounds in return for 78 million during the same month of the past year.

The number of passengers also decreased by 89.9 percent to reach 2 million passengers from 19.8 million in the corresponding period last year.
