CAIRO: Presidential hopeful Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has selected former parliamentarian Abdallah El-Moghazy to be the spokesperson for his campaign, reported Youm7 Monday.

Moghazy said he took part in a Sunday meeting between Sisi and the tribal elders of Matrouh who came to declare their support for Sisi in the presidential elections and discuss his platform.

Amr Moussa, former head of the 50-member committee, previously stated that Sisi will meet with different political parties and movements to present his platform.

Moussa announced on March 22 the details of Sisi’s electoral program, which consists of a suggested plan to reform developing and investing programs for Egypt by implementing complete changes on some governorates and their borders, reported Youm7.

Amr al-Shobky, a former member of the 50-member Committee, said that Sisi’s electoral platform is based on two major elements; first to rebuild the state regarding the new constitution and to improve the current economic situation in Egypt, reported Veto Gate.

Renowned journalist Mohamed Hussanein Heikal, Kefaya movement founding member Abdel Galil Mostafa, film director Khaled Youssef and presidential political advisor Mostafa Hegazy have participated in forming Sisi’s official campaign program.
