Egypt’s Volleyball team lose Islamic Solidarity Games final

CAIRO: Egypt’s junior volleyball team was not able to complete their successful journey in the Islamic Solidarity Games 2013 after losing the final match against Iran on Monday.

They received the silver medal after they were defeated 3-1 by Iran.

The team went into the finals with high morals after beating Turkey 3-0 in the semifinal, but they were not able to achieve victory in the final.

The junior volleyball team was the one who participated in the tournament since the professional team was competing in the African cup of Nations, were they won the title for the fifth consecutive time and the seventh time overall.

The 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games was held in Indonesia from September 22-October 1.
