Clashes in Cairo during pro-MB protests

CAIRO: Clashes erupted today between Muslim Brotherhood supporters and number of residents in Haram, Giza, and police fired tear gas bombs to stop the clashes, Youm7 reported.

In Mataryah as well, clashes erupted following pro-Brotherhood demonstrations, and both sides threw rocks and set off fireworks, and reporters in the scene were injured, including a Youm7 reporter.

ONA reported that security forces arrested 15 of suspects in involving in violence in MB protests today in Giza.

Protests have increased in Cairo since the announcement by Field Marshal Abdel Fatah al-Sisi of his plan to run for the presidency. The first round of elections will be held May 26-27.
