CAIRO: A confrontation took place between a Muslim Brotherhood member and a police officer outside Imbaba Police Station Sunday, which led to the police officer killing the Brotherhood member.
The Brotherhood member was wanted for participating in pro-Brotherhood protests and was spotted by the police station. When the police officer tried to arrest him a confrontation took place, according to Youm7.
Security forces intensified around Imbaba Police Station and the police officer was taken into custody while the prosecution started investigations. The police man said during investigations that the suspect resisted arrest so he shot him, reported Youm7.
A team from North Giza prosecution moved to Imbaba Police station to examine the body and begin investigations. Initial investigations showed that the man was killed using four bullets and forensics were ordered to examine the body to determine the cause of death.
