CAIRO: Gamal Zahran encouraged prohibiting clothing that covers the face in places of worship, in demonstrations or in public, he told Youm7 on Sunday.
Zahran criticized the law completed by the Ministry of Justice that prohibits demonstrations and protests. He said sit-ins, strikes and protests are legitimate forms of expression as long as they are peaceful. “They are our rights and we will not let them go,” he said.
Zahran said it is necessary to notify security authorities with the date and route of demonstrations.
Gamal Zahran is political science professor at the Suez Canal University.
