Egypt and Monte Carlo radios to broadcast interviews on Sudan crisis

CAIRO: The riots in Sudan will be the main topic of discussion in a live broadcast between Egypt Radio and Monte Carlo Radio on Wednesday between 2 and 3 pm.

The crisis in Sudan began due to a spike in fuel prices, causing protests throughout Sudan. The main question for the radio broadcast is, “Is the spike in fuel prices the main reason for riots in Sudan, or are there other reasons? Or is it this uprising really against an Islamist regime?”

This week’s episode guest on Egypt Radio will be Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram’s Strategic file, Dr. Hani Raslan, who is also head of the Sudan and Nile Basin at Ahram Center for Strategic Studies. Radio host Siham Nassar will be interviewing Raslan, according to the General Director of Egypt Radio station, Maher Abdul Aziz.

Monte Carlo Radio guest will be Editor-in-Chief of Sudan Tribune News website, Mohamed Nagi, and he will be interviewed by host Kamal Trabiah.
