CAIRO: Two people were injured in an explosion that rocked Cairo’s busy Faisal Street Tuesday evening, a security source told Youm7.

A police officer and a civilian were injured, according to ONtv.

Police and bomb experts have headed to the scene, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported.

Twenty-five people were injured Tuesday morning after a bomb detonated at a girls school in Sinbelawin, near Dakahlia, according to the Ministry of Health.

Later on Tuesday, a handmade bomb exploded in a police residence at Galaa Square, near the Cairo Opera House, injuring three people including a police officer.
