CAIRO: Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou met on Wednesday with a high-level U.S. delegation, now visiting Cairo to be briefed on the political and security developments in Egypt.
The delegation comprises a large number of military veterans and strategic analysts.
Zaazou asked the delegation members to convey the real image of Egypt to the whole world.
Zaazou discussed with the delegation ways to promote tourism in Egypt, especially in Luxor and Aswan.
“Travel warnings issued by some foreign states had negatively affected the tourism business,” Zaazou said.
He added that the Egyptian government does its best to turn Egypt into a democratic state after completing the road map for the transitional period.
“High security measures are being applied to secure tourists in Egypt,” Zaazou concluded.
