KHARTOUM: “Egyptian and Sudanese youth initiative for social and cultural communication” was launched on Saturday in Khartoum in order to boost bilateral relations in culture and art fields. The event was attended by a number of Egyptian and Sudanese intellectuals and artists like actress Fardous Abdul Hamid, writer Ibrahim Abdul Majid and others. Sudanese Presidential Assistant Col. Abdul Rahman Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, Egyptian Charge d’affaires in Khartoum Wael Barakat, Arab league representative in Khartoum Salah Halima and other officials and diplomats have also attended the launch. During the event, Mahdi hailed the historic relations between Egypt and Sudan that has not been affected by political changes and regimes.
