3 years instead of 5 for Suez convicts
Suez military court

SUEZ, Egypt: Suez military court decided on Monday to reduce the prison sentence from five to three years for 45 out of 64 convicts of the Suez riots burst out after Rabaa sit-in dispersal, defendant lawyers said in a press release.
Commander of the Third Army General Osama Roshdy will have to decide whether or not to approve the verdict.
Four other convicts, including one sentenced to lifetime detention, didn’t benefit of any reduction in their terms of imprisonment, lawyers said to the press.
Sixty-four people were originally arrested during the violent clashes in Suez, following the security raids in Cairo, on Aug. 14 and 15.
