CAIRO: A group of female pro-Muslim Brotherhood students in Cairo University raised Al-Qaeda flags during a march on campus onWednesday, Youm7 reported.

Security forces intensified their presence around the march to control any potential clashes between pro- and anti-MB students.

Additionally,  pro-MB students blocked Tharwat Road, carrying car tires and chanting anti-police slogans. They used the tires to lessen the effects of tear gas bombs.

In order to protect the surroundings of Cairo University and Giza Security Directorate, three army vehicles arrived at Nahda Square to support other security forces.

In Helwan University, pro-MB students organized a march against the nomination of Field Marshal Abdel Fatah al-Sisi in the presidential elections, raising banners against the police and army.
