CAIRO: A memo of understanding was signed Friday between Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Ayman Abou Hadid and his Chadian counterpart as a part of technical and agriculture cooperation between Egypt and Chad, reported Al-Mal.
This memo includes cooperation between two countries in agriculture, fish farming, field and horticultural crops, land reclamation, and irrigation, Al Mal reported.
Mahlab arrived Thursday morning in N’Djamena, the capital of Chad, to begin his two-day African tour, which also includes a visit to Tanzania.This tour represents Mahlab’s first foreign visit to another African country since he took office in March.
State-owned MENA reported Friday that Chad called for Egypt to be reinstated as a member state of the African Union. Egypt was expelled as a member following the ouster of Mohamed Morsi.
