CAIRO: A security source in the Cairo Security Directorate said that violent clashes erupted late Sunday between Muslim Brotherhood supporters and security forces in Matariya, Youm7 reported. Seven injuries have been reported so far.
The clashes started between Brotherhood supporters and opponents on Troli Street in Matariya as both sides threw rocks and fired birdshot bullets, according to Youm7.
The security source said Brotherhood members staged a protest march in front of El Nour El Mohamdy mosque, where the police intensified its forces and confronted the protesters.
