CAIRO: The Spanish Culture Center in Cairo will host Colombian Novelist Hector Abad who will review his recent novel “El Olvido que Seremos,” or “A Memoir,” on May 4, reported Youm7.
Since El Olvido que Seremos, or “A Memoir” was published in 2006, it has been translated to several languages including Arabic.
The novel basically focuses on Abad’s intimate relationship with his “exemplary” father who was killed during violent clashes against leftists in Colombia in 1987.
During the seminar, the author is expected to touch on his friendship with Colombia’s most famous novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez died on 17 April.
The event will be in Spanish with Arabic interpretation.
