CAIRO: The new branch of the El Sawy Culturewheel in Hurghada is scheduled to host a concert for the Al Mawlaweya Al Masreya band on May 1.
Founder of the band, Amer El-Tony, and his dance troupe are preparing for the band’s first concert in the Red Sea governorate at a private ceremony at the El Sawy Culturewheel in Hurghada that revives Egypt’s sufi heritage.
The Al Mawlaweya Al Masreya was established in 1994 by Amer El-Tony to represent Egyptian heritage all over the world. They use ancient festivity forms including whirling, Arabic music, and soulful singing.
