Presidential race: Sisi and Sabbahi organize popular meetings across Egypt

CAIRO: Presidential campaigns for both candidates Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and Hamdeen Sabbahi organized meetings with different social forces on Saturday, publishing their activities on their official Facebook pages.

The Sisi campaign reported Saturday he participated in a conference with SME owners, spoke of his economic vision and urged people to participate in presidential elections.

Member of the political branch in Sisi’s campaign Mohamed Badran will start a tour in Gulf States Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE to communicate and promote Sisi’s presidential program to Egyptian communities, ONtv reported on Saturday.

Sabbahi’s campaign reported on several activities with his supporters in a number of governorates and cities across Egypt such as Beheira, Beni Suef, Sharm el-Sheikh, in addition to a few places in Cairo.

Political activist Zeyad el-Elimi, and the movement supporting deceased political activist Salah Jika announced their support for Sabbahi, according to Ontv’s report on Saturday.

As for activities outside Egypt, Sabbahi intends to address Egyptians abroad in a video conference to be broadcasted on Youtube calling for their support and speaking to them about their issues, Youm7 reported on Saturday.

“The campaign members and Sabbahi have been in touch with Egyptians abroad because they are an important part of his program,” Ma’soum Marzouk told Youm7 on Saturday.
