ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia: Egypt received an invitation to take part in the US-African conference on energy here June 2 to 4, Egypt’s Ambassador in Ethiopia Mohamed Idriss said.
The event will take up means to boost sustainable development in Africa in the energy field including new and renewable energy, he said.
Egypt’s participation in the event gives the chance to hold several meetings at the governmental and private sector levels to exchange expertise on clean energy technology and means to increase energy production, he said.
The Egyptian diplomacy intensified efforts during the previous period to put Egypt back on a positive track to re-join the African Union, Egypt’s Ambassador to Ethiopia Mohamed Idriss added.
There is a strong link between the stability of the internal situation and the atmosphere outside Egypt, Idriss said.
