CAIRO: Nine died and five were injured in a microbus accident when it fell into a sewage canal outside Jrees village in Minya governorate, Youm7 reported.
The prosecution already issued a burial permission for six victims, who all belong to Nahyet Horr village in Minya, and three other bodies remain unidentified, Cairo Portal reported.
Two women and four men, including the driver, were among the identified six and injured survivors, including two men in their fifties and a woman in her seventies, Veto Gate reported.
The driver, 35, lost control of the steering wheel due to over speeding and the vehicle rolled over to the side of the road before falling into the canal.
Microbuses, which accommodate 15 passengers including the driver, are a wide-spread means of transportation within cities and also to travel between cities. They are known for their general reckless driving.
