Youssef, whose show was suspended last month, made the announcement on his official Twitter account.
“We are preparing to return to the screen next week,” Youssef tweeted, adding that the episode would be a “distinctive” one on elections.
Youssef announced in April that his program would be suspended for two weeks for Easter vacations. The Facebook page of MBC Masr, the satellite channel which airs Youssef’s show, announced May 15 that the program would be resumed on May 30.
“I am happy for our return to the stage,” Youssef tweeted.
The program had been suspended in October 2013, when it was being aired on CBC TV channel, for violating the terms of its contract, according to statement issued by CBC on Oct. 26.
Many figures had denounced the October suspension stating that it infracts on freedom of expression.
