CAIRO: “An evening of classical music” will revive classical Baroque and Venetian music by legendary composers Vivaldi, Bach, Haydn and Mozart, in a special event hosted by Bridges Cultural Center on June 24.
The evening will feature three musicians from the Cairo Symphony Orchestra: award-winning Hungarian flutist Peter Olah, Egyptian-American violinist and composer Mohamed-Aly Farag, and Hungarian horn player Adam Debreczeni.
British pianist and repetiteur with the Cairo Opera Company David Hales will also perform.
Launched this year, Bridges Cultural Center aims to foster dialogue and a sense of community across cultures and religions, and to provide access to classical music and other performances to the general community. The center hosted its first classical music performance last month, with a concert of Baroque music by the Awtar Quartet.
The Cairo Post is pleased to be the media sponsor for this event.
Time: June 24, 8 p.m.
Location: Bridges Cultural Center, 5 Michel Lutfallah St., behind Cairo Marriot Hotel, Zamalek.
