CAIRO: Darb 1718 Contemporary Art and Culture Center will host “Treasured Trash Festival” Monday June 23 starting at 5:00 p.m.
The festival is supported by the Anna Lindh Foundation and Arts Collaboratory, and is the result of 12-month community development project focused on “artistic recycling.”
“Treasured Trash” aims to address the view on refuse, its value and the role of recycled art, in order to raise awareness on how to deal with waste as a community, and convert it to something valuable and beautiful.
The events will include a bazaar of recycled arts and crafts.
