CAIRO: The working hours of the Metro stations will be extended by one hour during the month of Ramadan which will start June 29, reported Youm7.

Deputy Chairman of Metro Authority Mohamed Badawy announced Saturday that the number of working hours of the metro lines will be 21 hours instead of 20 hours; starting from 5 a.m. and ending at 2 a.m.

The three-hour service gap in the morning would be allocated for intensive maintenance work, according to Badawy.

The second stage of Cairo’s third metro line (Abbasiya-Heliopolis) project was opened by the former Interim President Adly Mansour and former Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab in May.
