CAIRO: An introduction to trancendental meditation will be led by Karim el-Tobgy on July 16, ahead of the Salon Ramadan exhibition opening at Darb 1718 cultural center.
According to a press release for the event, trancendental meditation is “a simple, natural, effortless technique practiced 20 minutes twice each day while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed.” The release also suggests that the form of meditation “markedly reduces stress, anxiety, and fatigue, and promotes balanced functioning of mind and body.”
The free session will take place from 8-9 p.m. on July 16.
A new art exhibition at Darb 1718, Salon Ramadan, will also open July 16. Salon Ramadan will feature the artwork of 20 distinguished Egyptian and international artists selected by Darb 1718 in order to present their work in an exclusive exhibition.
