CAIRO: The Tourism Ministry announced Friday that Denmark has lifted a travel ban to the Cairo, Alexandria and Sharm el-Sheikh areas, MENA reported.
On July 8, the Italian and German governments also decided to lift the travel ban to Sharm el-Sheikh.
Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou expressed happiness after Danish, German and Italian authorities lifted the travel ban to Sharm el-Sheikh, MENA reported.
“I hope more European Union states follow suit and lift travel warnings to this Red Sea resort as soon as possible,” Zaazou said.
Sixteen European countries issued travel warnings to their citizens for the Sinai Peninsula following the bombing of a tourist bus in Taba last February that killed three people.
