CAIRO: The President of the Emirati Council, Ahmed al-Mor has left Egypt with his delegation after attending the urgent meeting of the Arab Inter-parliamentary Union discussing the Israeli attack on Gaza, Youm7 reported.

Many Arab and international political figures came to Egypt to discuss the Palestinian crisis with President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and French Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurent Fabius.

Earlier in the week Egypt brokered a cease-fire initiative which was refused by Hamas, describing it as “kneeling and submissive,” but on the other hand it was seen as a positive move from other international perspectives.

Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil al-Arabi said during the meeting Thursday “the crisis that the Palestinians are going though now demands a continuing work from us to give them all the possible support that may reconstruct what was damaged by war.”
