CAIRO:  27 Palestinians more were killed, totaling the death toll to more than 40 and more than 300 injured Sunday. The total number of Palestinian deaths reached 267 and more than 2,000 were injured since the beginning of Israel’s military operation against Gaza 13 days ago, Palestinian Ministry of Health official spokesperson Ashraf al-Qedra announced on ONTV Sunday.

Israeli army is holding a military operation on Gaza after announcing it using land, air and sea military forces against Gaza.

Qedra said Israel’s army targets whole families, as it did the family of Osama el-Haya, the son of one of Hamas leaders Khalil el-Haya. The family was killed due to bombing in the neighborhood Shajaieh along with his wife and two sons, Maan Palestinian news agency reported Sunday.

The initial report regarding the attack on Gaza issued by the Euro-Mid Observer for Human Rights on Sunday revealed that the total number of deaths among Palestinians in Gaza is 338, including 83 children and 33 women.

The Israeli army’s attacks on border areas resulted in the evacuation of 135 Gaza residents due to their homes being destroyed by the bombings: at least half of the evacuees are now at the schools of U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA). The number of injured Palestinians is 2,573 since the beginning of the attack, including 756 children and 464 women, EMOHR reported Sunday.

Director of Civil Defense in Gaza Saeed el-Seoudy was informed by the Red Cross at dawn that ambulances were obstructed and prevented from entering the eastern border area unless Israeli authorities give them permission, Maan News agency reported Sunday.
