GAZA : Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas movement, carried out a new operation in Israel at the eastern borders of Gaza Strip on Monday.

In a military statement, Qassam said it carried out an operation behind the enemy lines on eastern Beit Hanoun crossing in response to the Israeli brutal offensive on Shogaya district.

The statement said Qassam fighters fully destroyed an Israeli military vehicle.

In another statement, Qassam asserted that it has targeted an armored personnel carrier in Al-Tofah district, in eastern Gaza, with a missile shell, setting it ablaze.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Channel 10 said the Israeli forces foiled an attempt by Palestinian militants to infiltrate Beit Hanoun crossing in Northern Gaza Strip.

It said all attackers have been killed by the Israeli army near Beit Hanoun crossing.

The Israeli planes shelled the area where two groups of Palestinian fighters have been trying to infiltrate to Israel and killed 10 of them, while others fled the scene via tunnels to Gaza Strip.
